Children in Adversity In 2019, the US Government launched the Advancing Protection and Care for Children in Adversity Strategy for International Assistance. D4I works with USAID’s Children in Adversity team to foster positive impacts for children made vulnerable by conflict, violence, and neglect. D4I supports countries in policy reform, case management for children, and monitoring and evaluation of programs. This includes developing tools; improving routine data collection, quality, and use; strengthening skills in monitoring and evaluation for the social service workforce; and improving digital competency.D4I’s children protection and case management activities are in Armenia, Cambodia, Colombia, Moldova, Rwanda, Uganda, and Zambia.
