Behavioral Interventions to Increase Engagement with Evaluation Findings in NigeriaDownload Document: D4I-Evaluation-Findings-Pilot_TRE-24-40_508C_final.pdf (5 MB)Abstract: Data for Impact (D4I), in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), ran a pilot to test two strategies to mitigate behavioral barriers and leverage behavioral enablers of the use of evaluation findings from USAID global health programs. The aim was to learn lessons on how to implement behavioral interventions to improve the use of evidence within USAID and offer a blueprint for testing similar interventions in other contexts. The pilot was carried out in Nigeria, with the primary target group for increasing evaluation findings being USAID Nigeria Mission staff. The focus was increasing engagement with qualitative findings from the Nigeria Multi-Activity Evaluation, an outcome evaluation of four USAID Nigeria Mission Health, Population, and Nutrition (HPN) activities. The pilot consisted of two strategies: (1) tailored email messages about evaluation findings using a combination of behavioral insights, and (2) strengthening an evaluation findings dissemination event with behavioral techniques.Shortname: TR-24-40Author(s): Data for ImpactYear: 2024Language: EnglishRegion(s): NIGERIAFiled under: behavioral interventions, Data use, HPN, Nigeria, Report
