Every Woman Every Newborn-Measurement Improvement for Newborn, Stillbirth & Maternal Indicators: EWEN-MINSMI-PRISM Tools for Routine Health Information SystemsDownload Document: EWEN-MINSMI-PRISM-Tools_v1.0_508c.pdf (12 MB)Abstract: The Every Newborn-Measurement Improvement for Newborn & Stillbirth Indicators (EN-MINI) Tools guide priority actions to improve availability, quality and use of newborn and stillbirth indicators in routine health information systems. The tools are free, easy to use, and generate automated reports for sub-national and national use in support of the Every Newborn Action Plan (ENAP). In 2023, WHO, UNICEF, and UNFPA published the report "Improving maternal and newborn health and survival and reducing stillbirth: progress report 2023." This first joint report represents a new ambition to align the maternal, newborn and stillbirth communities to accelerate action toward globally agreed goals. The included measurement improvement roadmap supports aligning improving data quality and use for maternal, newborn and stillbirth indicator measurement. To support the alignment of the maternal and newborn measurement agenda, the EN-MINI Tools have been adapted to include maternal indicators. This latest adaptation of the PRISM tools is titled the Every Woman Every Newborn - Measurement Improvement for Newborn, Stillbirth & Maternal Indicators (EWEN-MINSMI-PRISM) tools, which include a balanced set of prioritized indicators for women, newborns and stillbirths that includes a focus on quality of care indicators.Shortname: TL-24-114Author(s): Data for ImpactYear: 2024Language: EnglishFiled under: EN-MINI, Guidance and Tools, Maternal and child health, Newborn health, PRISM, RHIS, Tools
