The topics in PSE curricula should be selected based on the FP and other health needs of the country using the curricula. As a percent, this indicator is calculated as: (Number of PSE institutions in a defined area that incorporate FP in their curricula/Total number of PSE institutions in that same defined area) x 100 Data Requirement(s): Preservice curricula This indicator can be disaggregated by type of institution (e.g., public or private) and cadre of graduates. Data Source(s): Document review at PSE institutions Purpose: Interventions that are advocating for FP instruction in PSE institutions can use this indicator to track the incorporation of FP material in preservice curricula for health providers. Issue(s): This indicator cannot determine the quality, accuracy, or completeness of the FP content in the curricula.
