D4I works globally and within 32 countries across nine health technical areas and three cross-cutting areas. Across all countries, D4I has integrated capacity strengthening and gender into all activities. D4I works predominantly in family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH) and maternal and child health (MCH) topical areas. Since the start of D4I in 2018, the project has worked in the following technical areas: adolescent health; child protection and care; counter-trafficking and refugee support; COVID-19; environment; infection prevention control (IPC) and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH); FP/RH; infectious disease, including HIV/AIDS and malaria; MCH; food security and nutrition; health systems strengthening; private sector engagement; and health supply chain management.
