Data Standards for Child Care and Protection Case Management Information SystemsDownload Document: CMIS-Data-Standards-Report_TR-23-542_508c.pdf (1 MB)Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of data standards and their potential use case in the field of case management information systems (CMISs) for child care and protection, to review the work that has already been done that could be built upon to develop these data standards, to understand the challenges that they would need to overcome, and finally, to identify next steps toward creating them. Open data standards can be considered a cornerstone piece of digital public infrastructure that allows for more meaningful transmission, manipulation, use, and management of data. They are used in many sectors to foster better understanding and transparency of data by making it easier to exchange, thus improving accessibility and usability.Shortname: TR-23-542Author(s): Data for ImpactYear: 2023Language: EnglishFiled under: Care for children, child protection, CMIS, working paper
